4x4 Not Disengaging...Need Help ASAP

So my transfer case is not disengaging and my 4x4 light isnt on. I know its in 4 bc when I try and make a tight turn my truck doesnt like it at all. Grinding and what not. It wont go into 2 or 4lo. I need to fix this asap b/c i have to drive over a 100 miles tom back to NY. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Oh, and its a 2001 4.0 SOHC. And the t-case is only a little over a 1 1/2 yrs old.

Do the 4wd lights flash once when you start the truck?

Check your fuses. If they are good try the connector under the driver's seat under the truck. There might be crap in there. If that is good then you might have fried the 4wd computer.

I got a new t-case from the stealership in March/April of 07. Do they use the same shift motor? Or is it a new shift motor?
