I have a 4.0 with the 4r55e auto and going down the highway at 65 it's screaming at 2400 rpms. I have it on 33s and my rear end is geared at 3.73. I have an 03 explorer with a brand new trans but the rest of the truck is junk and I was wondering if I could swap in the 5r55e it has. I've read on here its the computer that makes the difference so I'm just wondering if it would work. Just trying to make the truck drive better on long rides.
