5r55e performance options?

well I snapped a driveshaft and broke 1st gear last night, as well as broke two lift blocks, so needless to say I did a bit of wreckless driving. truck is an 05 ranger xlt 2wd 4.0 v6 auto

Since it wil be opened up, are there any performance valve bodies on the market, or maybe even a manual valve body so I can shift through all the gears? anything else to be done to strengthen it up, I have an EE kit on the way!?

This just proves Rangers and Half Pipes don't mix.

there are deeper pans, upgraded valve bodies, servos, torque converters, shift kits, etc...

if the lift blocks broke and it broke the driveshaft was it at the rear of the d-shaft? if so it sounds a lot like axle wrap breakage, it may be time for some traction bars to keep the axle from twisting downwards and putting the rear joint at a bad angle.

thats exactly where it broke! I just got deavers today so that should help. I would run traction bars but with 12-14 inches of rear travel, its going to bind like crazy!

where would I order those performance partes from? I definitely need a shift kit, a valve body might be too much for me to do myself.

actually with any decent traction bar setup it does not limit flex or travel in the least. The Duff traction bars dont limit flex at all and a true 3rd link designed traction bar is even better.

jeese ryan... you just got deavers?

i've got a set of nationals sitting in my garage right now i'm trying to get rid of.

if you want a hand doing the EE kit let me know, i want to see how it goes together, and you should buy my RCD traction bars

Yep, just put them on. I haven't touched my transmission yet but I got a new one.

Hey dude! do you work at Kohl's off of Valley and Grand? I see your truck out there on my way to cal poly all the time! We should do lunch! I got your old hannaman front fenders on my truck, they look great!

I may be able to help you find a home for those nationals, how much did you want for those bad *** trac bars you had?
