8.8 28 spline?

Going to just guess the 28, unless someone can tell me otherwise.........

I swapped my axle a while back from a 7.5 3.73 to a 8.8 4.10LS, and I don't know what the axle was pulled from and I have no clue what the spline is on it. The tag reads as follows.... S333S 4L10 8.8 0L29

Most likely its a 28 but is there a way to tell for sure besides bolt loosening route?

Bottom bolt to bottom bolt its 77mm or 3" and from side botl to side bolt its 42mm or aprox 1 5/8" and the diameter of the axle outer shafts is just under or at about 3"s

Oh, for running 35"s on my lil 3.0, would 4.88 be best? Want to be able to get up and move, afraid 4.56 will be like my 4.10 pushin my 32"s now, slow, slow, slow.......

ok, as far as 28 spline or not, did you have to use different u-bolts and spring plates when you swapped your axle? or did you use the same ones that were in there? if they were the same then it is definitly a 28-spline.

with 35s on the 3.0 you will want 5.13s...

Although I put new longer, much thicker u bolts in, they were the same ID as the old ones, so I guess its a 28 spline , thanks for the help!
