Does this make a difference? I've got a buyer for this install kit and want to make sure that the install kit will work for a 31-spline expo axle.

I know the gears will work for either, just not sure about the install kit and can't find a good answer searching.

no, doesnt matter.. install kits are the same

 

8.8 is an 8.8

same bearings and seals, well except for clear out at the axle ends, those bearings ans seals are different.
