Have a '87 2wd 2.9l that I just got running good. Only problem I am still having is a hard shift especially from park to overdrive/drive and seems to be worse when engine has not had time to warm up. Checked trans. fluid while at idle and level looks to be a little high. Haven't driven the truck much since I just bought it and still need inspection, insurance, etc. Did find receipt from previous owner having transmission flushed/seal replaced just a few months ago. Also seems like idle may be set just a little high, don't know if this would matter or not. Any help is greatly appreciated...
