hard to shift
hard to shift
i traded my old car for this 98 ranger. i love the truck, but the kid who owned it before me did some things to it that dont really suit my taste. so...im trying to bring it back to a more stock condition. one of the problems (not made from the kid) is that the clutch pedal feels pretty soft. ive never owned a vehicle with a hydrolic clutch, but this still doesnt feel right. changing gears is annoying. it doesnt shift smooth, it shifts but it sucks. if im at a light, i have to put it in first before i come to a complete stop, or else i have to mess around to get it in there. theres no grinding in the shifts so im guessing that the tranny is fine. supposedly it has a pretty new clutch. the clutch fluid is at the proper level, so im thinking that maybe that fluid needs to be bled. please dont tell me i have to pull the tranny to do this. does anybody have a link or something that explains this procedure? thanks in advance!
