94 ranger

Ive recently bought a 94 ranger 2wd regular cab that was gutted for drag racing. Im getting ready to purchase a 2001 explorer v8 2wd. Ive got to put literally every wire from the explorer into the ranger. Also the entire ac system, heater core, power steering, all interior including full dash and everything behind it. Motor and transmission and inner fenders and everything that goes under the hood. I know some people have done this and need details of what to do and in what order. Hopefully someone has documented a similar build and i can somehow get it printed off on paper. Ive worked on cars for 20 years and very mechanically inclined but it would be way better to get some knowledge from someone whos been down this road instead of going into it blind. Thanks in advance for any help with this

Welcome to the forum.

Not sure I have read of full interior swap, well from Explorer to Ranger.
Since you are using explorer wiring harness the '01 instrument cluster will work in a '94 size wise, not sure about the whole dash
'94 Ranger used different system, so normally you couldn't do the swap without full rewiring, but you are doing that, 1995 and up Rangers had similar electric system to '01 explorer

Seats swap over fine and center console, even over head console

Loads of Explorer V8 swaps into Rangers, that part is well documented.
Since you will be using explorer engine fuse box and wiring to cab fuse box it should just be a matter of where will it fit the best and length of wire between them.
Not sure if any one has done that, they usually splice explorer engine harness into existing Ranger "body" harness, which is just a few power wires and Grounds

You may want to search for a 1995 to 1997 Ranger to pull the dash, AC/heater and electrics out of.
Then do V8 swap for 1995-1997 ranger, wiring for that should be available
Use the explorer seats and other interior parts that will fit
