99 Sport: from manual to automatic

Is it possible to switch my truck over to automatic? I personally love driving my truck, but my wife can't do it. She can drive it if life depends on it, but we've had the Ranger for over two years and she's only ever driven it a few times. She just isn't comfortable driving it being manual.

I will do all the work myself, so all I need to know is it possible? If so, what parts are needed?

Thanks a bunch.

Dangit, if you were closer I'd swap with you and do the swap basicaly for you!

I can't stand driving an auto, my transmission is all beefed up and upgraded because I blew it once. I paid 2200 for parts/labor just about a year ago...

Man I wish you were coser!!!!!!! And 4x4 too! (thats th eonly problem, mine is 2wd) but it's still a 3.0

You can, but there is more involved. You will have to run the coolant lines. You will HAVE to get the wiring harness for your truck and engine with an auto trans.
