A4LD removal

I have a 1994 ranger 4.0 4x4 and my transmission went I found a good used transmission and I’m wondering if anyone has any tips that will help with removing and replacing. Is there anything that most people overlook when removing them. I’ve only ever did one transmission and I pulled it out without a cab on the truck. I’ve never pulled one from the bottom. My transmission clutch band broke and there was metal in the fluid. Is it okay to reuse my old converter if I dump the fluid out of it and refill. I know you should replace converter seal aswell.

EDIT: I just got the used trans and noticed the torque converter that is on it has some play. Is this normal?

I’m also thinking about doing a better trans cooler. Is there an aftermarket kit for these trucks that has everything needed to do it? 94 4.0 4wd auto
