just a brainstorming session really...but i know you can find varuious size vw tdi's for pretty cheap. ive seen the conversion into samuri's..is it feasible for a little danger ranger? i have a POS 95, with a nearly dead 2.3 and good enough 5spd that i refuse to put effort into right now..but i may be willing to look into a swap down the line if its reasonable/worthwhile...its just a commuter and house truck deal, but if i were to put the effort into the drivetrain at all i may clean the ****box up a bit, pull the bed and setup a simple aluminum bed for moving the next toy (lookingto get a new rzr 4-the 4 seater setup)....or just use the truck as a little project to screw with
any intput?

 

On Youtube a user named Davidsfarm has transplanted a VW diesel into one Dodge Caravan, and once it rusted he moved it into a newer Caravan. Might help you with ideas.

I done a TDI-ALH engine into a 2011 Ranger, adapter plates/motor mounts are available or u-tube how to make your own, tdi harness is very easy to set up to run on its own hardest part is getting ford instr cluster to marry to VW ecm for gauges to work(still researching blogs) , ford uses CANbuss to run cluster, some people transplant VW cluster but I want to keep OEM appearance
