Bearings 98 +

So I found this when I searched front diff bearings
https://www.ranger-forums.com/f37/di...gs-asap-98212/
I just want to double check! Can I pull and replace these bearings without pulling the front differential! Just pull them out the side and pound them back in? Both sides? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

yeah but do you have a reason to replace them or you just are?

If you just want to then remeber to get new seals because they usually get ruined when pulling them out and be careful because the housing right there is easy to scare.

same reason as you had, when I pulled the axle out a few of the rollers fell out with it ! I thought it was my hub assembly making noise but now I know this is the culprit! Thanks man !

Ok, yeah get a magnet a make sure you get all the little rollers out. Then get a new seal and bearing. The part #'s are different on both sides The part numbers I have in that last thread are for the drivers side. I replaced the seal on the passenger side but the bearing was fine so I don't know the part # for the passenger side

Then just get a slide hammer or bearing puller and pull them out. I actually had to push the bearing in a little because it had grooved into the housing and smooth it out before the bearing would come out.

Got em in!! Here are the part numbers: drivers side bearing PR1563TAV,drivers side seal 13757,pass side seal 17520. I got all these at Napa but no one around had the passenger side bearing so I had to get it from the dealership,Ford part # F57Z 3C123 AA,the passenger side bearing goes in the end of this tube,NOT in the side of the diff

If you do both sides of the diff(which I did not) just double up on the drivers side part#s.
Also I ended up with a 3 pronged puller because I couldn't get the swivel style one behind the bearing.
Thanks for the help Camodown
