Brakes SUCK!

Well, I replaced my brakes about a month ago.. new rotors and pads.. AND THEY SUCK!! the braking power in my truck is well, extremely lacking! I dont know what to do! And everytime i brake, the truck pulls to the right? What do you guys suggest, i just dropped around 200 euro at the local parts store for these brakes because i needed them bad, i couldnt drive out of the parking lot they were so bad..

Did you set in the new rotors and pads? That is vital to the performance of them.

bleeding could very well be the cause of the lack of braking.. and the pulling may be a sticking caliper..

When you get new rotors and pads but on, you have to 'break them in' together so they stop better.
Did you grease your slides?
Bleeding is always a good thing whenever you mess around with your lines.
How much is 200euros in American?

Maybe you got inferior Polish made brakes???
Nah, i would try setting them in. You have to do a series of hard stops to burn the coating off the rotors and pads, and to 'set the into eachother' if that makes since.
Do that and bleed and see if there is a problem. I would have also greased all slides for the hell of it.

yeah, thanks DangerRanger01. The frustrating part is i could have gotten drilled and slotted rotors and performance pads for about the same as the sucky stock ones.. But I would have had to have waited for shipping which was not an option..

Yup, i bought the powerstop brakes. slotted with pads. super sweet. Good deal too. When you coming back to the states? You should upgrade! lol.
When i did mine, you do 30-5mph at moderate braking pressure ten times to warm up the brakes and burn some of the coating off, then drive around to cool them off some, then do 60-5mph at like 90% braking (almost have ABS engages) ten times again. Never let the pads keep pressure on the rotors when you're at a stop sign because you can leave a mark on the rotors. Then drive around some to cool the brakes off finally. Don't be surprised if you smell them burning off. But when you're done, you should be set. Was there a coating on the rotors like zinc or cadmium?

Well you'd see like silver color or something if they had a coating on it. Its to protect the rest of the rotor from rusting away. I'd be if it had that on there and you hadn't properly burned it off you'd have poor brakes. Or maybe you just got bad pads???

In my picture here you can see the coating. its silver color (note the difference between it and where the pads touch the rotors)
