clutch quik disconnect

Icon5 clutch quik disconnect

Hi , Im a new member, i have a 97 Mazda 2,3 5 speed, the problem is my disconnect at the transmisson keeps popping out like it building up too much pressure, Has anyone else had orhave this problem?

Yes, not all that common but a known issue.

No, not from too much pressure

There were two types of Quick Connects but they were change in 1992/3 model years so that shouldn't be your problem

You MUST open the bleeder when you reconnect the quick connect or it will not seat correctly, and will pop off again

So make sure you do it that way

Only other issue I have seen are some 3rd party slaves will loosen up after a year or two and cause this popping off, only fix is to replace slave

If you get 3rd party master AND slave as a package then that won't be the issue
