Not sure if its possible, but it would make sense that you could get a console and shifter out of a newer explorer and i would think that you would just have to move the shift cable. I would search, but im way too tired right now. I'll look tomorrow.

i'm planning to run a mustang floor shifter in my 93 with the mustang dash/console. the biggest obstacle i'm facing is if the notches (for P, R, N, etc.) are the same size/distance for the two vehicles. i know the connectors to hook them to the shifters are different, but i have both cables and hopefully can make just one.

All you would have to do is adjust where on the moving arm the cable attaches to. closer to the pivot for less throw(notches farther apart than stock) and farther away from the pivot for more throw(notches closer together than stock)

I would love to see someone do this. I think something integrated into the center console would look great

Here's a console from a 2008 explorer:

Sorry it's that color, I couldn't find a good enough picture of one in those colors. I would think it would fit because its made for an exploder.

Ehh kinda. The 02+ Expos have like ZERO compatibility with Rangers. I think the only thing guys swap over is the 02+ 8.8 IRS diff covers lol.

How do you guys pull the column shifter out of the column? I'm looking at a motor swap and wondering if I should go for a stick or an auto, but I'm worried about removing the old shifter if I go for the stick. How do y'all do it?

Come to think of it, I saw a guy on here a while back that had that style expo console in his truck, but I'm not sure if it just bolted in or he had to do a custom install, but I don't thunk I would b all that difficult. If its possible, I'd definitely put in that console.

NicksterSVT installed a floor shifter in his truck, he might be able to help.

I really don't think it would be that difficult, in the 150s all it takes is getting the right shifter cable
