Custom Driveshafts
Those of you that have had custom driveshafts made for the Superlift or RCD kits and did not buy the Superlift Driveshaft can you post some pics of the driveshaft they made?
My local driveshaft shop cannot make the flange or even get the flange that goes from the transfer case to the Double cardon joint.
This is all I need to make my truck 4wd again.
I called Superlift to see if I could get a hold of that piece and they do not offer to sell them and the people that make them for Superlift do not sell just pieces.
When i get home i will take some pics of what I'm talking about if you are confused.
If anyone knows where i could get a hold of one of these pieces I would greatly appreciate it!

are you talking about the flange like is on the rear driveshaft that bolts to the transfer case?
if so, you could possible get a driveshaft from a '97 and older Ranger and use the front part of that driveshaft.......my front driveshaft doesn't have the double cardon in it and we have the same transfer case.....

no the front driveshaft on the 98+ trucks is a wierd indented flange type deal. Didnt Jey use some sort of adapter to go to a normal CV flange?
I'm wondering if i could take the output shaft off and put one on from a 1350 transfercase... then i would not need this funky flange.

yours bolts up with the Ujoint, its a different beast. you have a 1350 right?
Mine is a 1354 which just has a big dish shaped connection on the front of the Tcase.

Zack, go find a manual 1354 from a 91-94 explorer or 1993-1997 ranger. it will bolt up to your truck, and it will have regular yokes not the wierd CV flange.
my '97 has a 1354 t-case......the exact same 1 that is in the '98+ trucks....i don't see why there is any difference in them.......
you could use the u-joint flange and it would actually be better than the double cardon that you have now.....

Wrong! My 1991 Had and still has a manual t-case. It was standard on the XL Xplodr

they are out there just have to find them
i still don't think there is a difference in the 1354 in the '98+ from the 1354 in the '97 and older......
EDIT: ahhh never mind....i saw a picture of 1 on ebay......i still bet the flange could be unbolted and the flange off my 1354 bolted on....

Dammit Zach I threw away my old driveshaft like two weeks ago because the CV was busted in it. You should have said something I'd have gladly hacked off the 'tulip-style' flange (I think thats what they call it) and dropped it in the mail to you.

I have my stock one, but the drive shaft place said they could not do anything with it.

that is what jey used to adapt a driveshaft to his tcase. its made by tom woods.

just to make this clear.
when you say CV that jey used you mean a Double Cardon Ujoint?
because in my situation i see that piece/adapter, then anther piece then my Double Cardon Ujoint then the shaft.
Jey is not using a "CV Joint" like what the stock ranger has right?
If I had the piece that bolts to the other half of the Double Cardon Ujoint and it didnt match up to my Tcase that is no problem i would just make my own adapter.
I wish i was close to home so i could get some pics to help explain.
