Don't know if this ? is elec or drive

I had just replaced my gears in the rear end and I started it up to take it for a test drive and now my speedometer does not work and my ABS light is on and stays on. Do I need to replace a sensor or the cable. And the carrier I just put in was an open and not the l/s I took out. It did have the abs gear on it. A little help please.

YEAR!!!!!!

I'm thinking the tone ring on the carrier is misaligned or the sensor on the top of the rear end is bad.

Depending on year, the truck does not have a speedo cable at derives speed from the rear end sensor.

i believe it comes from the rear abs sensor... make sure it's connected good or you may need to replace it
