Ok now I know I'm bringing a fairly old topic up, but I have to ask. In your first post you only stated that you had the ECTED installed? Is this correct? Or did you have a whole new ring and pinion installed? If it's just the ECTED, your ring and pinion shouldn't be affected by it so to speak. Most lockers are DIY (do it yourself), ring and pinion not so much. The reason for that being the difficulty in setting the backlash on the gears. I would reccomend a small break in period on the locker still just to be nice to it yanno. Also when you go to engage it, I've found that if you do it at a complete stop it tends to pop its way locked...but when moving is smooth as silk.

With the ECTED you have to pull the Ring and Pinion. They did put the old one back in, so that is the breakin I was referring to. I am still in the breakin period, 400 more miles...
