i have a "badkarma" adapter made of steel, he has one made of billet i believe. he drilled holes in it for both the jeep and chevy front ds bolt pattern since my last front shaft was a jeep shaft. I now have a double cardan front shaft off an old chevy truck, i'm not sure what kinda since i just pulled it out of the bed of a truck but i think its off a jimmy. I'll take it to a drivetrain shop and let them use that joint and it should bring the price of a front driveshaft down some.. even though i'm only looking at like $350 with a CV joint.

I saw him driving down the street the other day but i wasn't in my truck and wasn't able to wave him down, I need to get ahold of him.. have a SAS'd truck meet so zach can't feel as special

once i get some extended RA's i might.. just might. how about some measurements on that TRE?

oh yea, here's the "badkarma adapter" i should be going to see him today, he was out Christmas shopping so i'm waiting on him to get done with that.

and i was running a stock TJ? rear drive shaft.. and it was barely long enough. i think i was running it at too much of an angle or it wasn't balanced because i got a hell of a vibration.

Well I got my adapter, Shane I've hang tested the driveshaft, and yes it DEFINATLEY is going to have to be shortened. I'll get a measurement as soon as I get some spare time, hopefully today. But I just kinda put the shaft up there and eye-ball'd it. Also Beard I found the hardware....ended up using APACHE Helicopter Titanium zinc coated bolts....LOL....didn't wanna pay 4$ at Fastenall per bolt. Shane as far as price's I've been quoted 60$ for a chop and balanace at Precision Driveline in Oklahoma City, OK. That way you have an idea.

rofl, i hope those don't break.

i got what the guy told me was the equivalent of grade 8 in a metric thread from fastenall..

$60 seems good, austin drive train charges $100 to shorten and another $100 to balance it again or something like that.

Looks like it should work well once you get it shortened.

How much has this cost you?
