Hurst Shifter...noises?

It's interesting you guys mentioned the leaking tranny. I noticed wetness on my tranny around one of the joints (hard to explain). I've had the Hurst since last christmas.
As far as noises, I can't hear the gear mesh noise over my radio. It does rattle in 3rd gear though, if I don't have my hand on it.

i idi try to insulate mine with carpet underlayment and inner tube pieces. but then it occured to me that if im insulating noise, im also causing it to possibly not cool as well. better to live with a little noise than to not let it get air-transfer cooling. you get used to it, i beleive mine aint as bad now as it was a year ago when i put it in.
