IRS Cover vent?

Ok, so Im gonna put on a Explorer IRS cover I got and want to know if I need to do anything with the vent/thingy on the top right side at 10 o'clock as you look at it. Theres a yellow plastic piece in there now (from factory).

I sometimes drive thru a foot or so of water off road and I'm wondering if I need to vent it or seal it up or anything? My regular diff vent is well enough for my needs. I did a search and didn't find anything on this.

Thanks,

Get some line and run it up higher, you don't want it plugged

Your original axle tube breather is all you need. Plug the cover vent. I drilled and tapped to 1/8NPT and put a small pipe plug in it.
