locker on a 28 spline

hey guys.... im thinkin of puttin a detroit elocker in the rear of my 06. i wish it had 31's but its got 28's, my ques is will the rearend stay together with the locker in there, i don't do a lot of hard 4wheelin but we do get a pile of snow up here in nova scotia. any advice on what to do with the front dana 35 would be a help too, i hear that torsen will have a lsd that will fit in there commin out this month, but again will the frontend hold up ? what do you think ?

The rear axle will be fine. Torsen will never make the L/S for the front. They have been saying they will for like 40 years now. Aussie makes the only product for the front.

This is Dana 35 IFS on a Ranger right? Dana 35 stuff will not fit in the IFS diff.

Edit. I found it. 1700 is a lot though.

Technically, I think all D35 stuff is the same however before you blast me. The only difference is the circlip groves that retain the axle, which is not present in any lockers other than the Aussie and Lockright. So if you could find someone to machine the groove in your locker (so long as it does not require C-clips to retain the side gears) you could have any D35 locker.

Following all this right?

You sure? I have heard that the IFS diff has a smaller measurement between the carrier bearings.

The ranger D35 carrier is smaller than traditional d35 carriers.

Torsen is finally making their L/S for the front now so now worries about carrier size or machining anything. LOL
