manual trans problems please help!

ok i have a 2006 4.0 4x4 manual trans with about 70k on it. just this weekend i was driving around and noticed that my clutch felt different. by different i mean the friction point is in a completely different place. see bad paint drawing.

im guessing that my slave cylinder is finally going out on me but has anyone else had this happen and if so what did you do to fix it? this is the first manual trans vehicle i have owned and i have never driven a manual trans that was going bad so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the slave. Are you low on fluid, or had to add any? That's a giveaway if you have been losing/lost fluid.

Do the newer clutch petals have an adjustment on them?

Shane,
Get ready to change the slave and master cylinders.
While the tranny is out you may as well throw a clutch and pressure plate in there.
And be sure to bench bleed the master before you install it , makes life easier.
If the flywheel is not scored (grooves running around it) just rough it up with some sandpaper.
