Manual transfercase swap

I was at my local junkyard today looking for parts to start my manual transfercase swap. I didnt end up getting there until 2:30 and they closed at 3 unfortunately. I found a 91 ranger with manual transfercase there. I just wanted to make sure that the case is definally a 1354? And I read that the front driveshaft I need is out of a 95-97 ford explorer. Is this correct? and does it matter if the explorer that I get the shaft out of has a manual or electric transfercase? I plan on going back on tuesday to pick up the parts. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

91 is definitely a 1354

Dont think it matters for the expo driveshaft, you're going to have to get it shortened anyways...

Search around because there are a few threads with all the info for the swap....

95-96 explorer shaft will be a direct bolt in. Any earlier explorer shaft will need shortened. 97 and later will have the tulip style joint.
