Modulater Valve Question

Should the modulater valve & vac. line hooked to it have fluid in it? 1994 Ranger 4.0, 199,900k. AL4D tanny?

no it shouldnt and you need to change the valve asap!

the engine is actually sucking the fluid out of the transmission, not to mention what it is doing to the vacuum lines at the intake manifold.

heres the bad part, you have to remove the rear converter section to get to it.

Thanks! I removed the cat & replaced the valve, put the cat back on. Noticed a great improvement in shifting. Also looking for a good hi performance cat to replace the stock one. Once again - Thanks!!!

change your engine oil, i am sure it has trans fluid in it, mine went bad and i had about 3 quarts of atf in my engine, it went hafway up the dipstick
