need manual trans advice

I have a 95 b2300 that about once a year the plastic line keeps gettin pushed out of the slave cylinder I have tried putting it back in numerus different ways with no positive results except replacing the master and slave cylinder both at the same time and about a year or so later and a few hundred kms it does it again with no warning at all paid very little for the truck don't burn oil with over 400 thou kms I'm just irretated with this issue and tired of buying a new master and slave every year or so I never had to replace any clutch parts in any other vehicle I have owned b4 and would like some advice

Are you talking about the Quick Disconnect fitting?

If so that is really odd, most common complaint is they will NOT separate when they get a few years old.

I would get the tool, it's cheap if you don't have one already, to unlock the fitting then make sure both ends at clean and reconnect them.

I have done a few clutches in Rangers and never changed the master, just slave, and never had one pop off, I have read about it a few times but they just pushed back together from what I read.

Thanks for the reply
Ya I was talking about the quick connect and I have tried several times to reconnect it even after relasing the pressure (bleed screw) on the the slave but as soon as I pump the clutch pedal it spits out the quick connect

Well it certainly is not locking as it should.
There are 2 maybe 3 kinds of quick connects used by different manufacturers, they often says they are compatible, but I would say probably not a 100% match up.

Do you remember the name of the manufacturer of the slave that is in there now?

You said you replaced master at the same time, I assume this came as a master/slave kit?
And who is the manufacturer?

I am thinking there is a mix and match issue, because as said above this has never been an issue with Rangers, hard to bleed....yes, hard to get quick disconnect to release.....yes, quick disconnect popping off....no.

Shops that work on hydraulic systems may have similar connectors, and they could check the slave style connector and put a new, matching, end on the master line, not sure on that though.
But at least they could tell you why it keeps popping off and may offer another solution to lock it in place.
