I got mine from Fuddle racing significantly cheaper.

800rpm over stock, any stall was available. Rating of 300hp, he could have went higher but cost would have been higher.

Hm...interesting. Beard, it seems pretty simplistic. How would you rate the diificulty of it? I'm scared at the thought of disaasembling my 5R55E...or ANY auto tranny whatsoever.

Actually doing the auto transmission work was very easy with the detailed instructions that came with it. All you need is a good inch pound torque wrench and general tools (hammer, punch, screw drivers, sockets and extensions)

Most people probably wont need to replace the TQ converter which I had the most trouble with. The splines on my input shaft on the pump were trashed and it took an exceptionally long time to get the TQ on the trans.

I would say that I hated the removal and installation of the transmission itself, i have never done such and it was kind of a pain. could have been worse tho.

If you just do the VB replacement and adjust the bands you can do that while the transmission is in the truck. No need for removal.

is the valve body a matter of unbolting one and bolting another in?

loosen those nuts on the drivers side, torque the studs to 120inch pounds, then back them off 2 full turns. then tighten the nuts up again.

for the most part.

there is one piece you have to punch into a hole on the tranny. then there are a few seals that need replaced. then the intermediate servo on the side of the transmission. you also clean a few parts with electronic parts cleaner.

how much firmer are the shifts?
and this would probally be a good upgrade for a truck running bigger tires huh?
and what is done to the stall convertor that makes it different than stock? is the stall rpm's raise any?

i have a stock stall. so Nick will have to answer that question.

i really like the firm shifts, its firm based on how you use the throttle. if you hammer on it it will be firm but very quick, half throttle can have some pretty hard shifts which i dont mind.

it uses the gear alot more as well, which i like, even seems faster.

My converter is about 3200 stall IIRC. So when i accelerate from a stop the tach jumps to 3k before the truck really moves(half throttle). If you press harder on the gas, it will climb a bit more and begin to spin the tires.

If you drive like a grandma this converter may drive you nuts. Until the converter locks up it feels like the trans is slipping. So under 2500 it feels odd. Easy to fix tho just give it more gas.

I didnt help much but from what I saw the hardest part was prabably getting enough wood to stack on the jack to get the tranny out lol.

I would like to ride in it zach. Also when you want my truck?
