hello,
what is easier? changing the rack and pinion seals? or the whole system? i have relativley good mech skills, just not all the proper tools, what does anybody think? also, anybody know a real good and inexpensive on line parts store? I've used rockauto.com before, they were okay, any suggestions? let me know please, thanks

Ive just recently replaced the entire rack bellows from tie rod to tie rod. It was a bit of a challenge but not hard.

youll need flange wrenches for the PS feed lines to and from the bellows and a few big hammers and channel locks and adjustable wrenches.

Drives like a dream with a new rack, I will say that. Store quoted me well over 500$ for the job, I did it for less that 200. So I saved a ton and it took only a day.

TAKE PICTURES, and measurements, write them down, chalk everything possible and take more pictures and measurements.

good luck
