found one on my looking for a Early Bronco and Wagoneer axle, and i came a crossed a matching set of Dana 44 axles out of a Scout.

So are they any good?

On one site it said a Wagoneer axle is 58.4 inches drum to drum, and the Scout axle is 58 drum to drum, so its within the width range


and being that TRS is reset, i just cant search over there

scout is passenger side IIRC

 

Thats a litte narrower than a waggy axle, the waggy is around 62 wms iirc. if you are talking about rears though, then yes its around 58 drum to drum.

 

oh, maybe thats why i didnt find much on it

yes scout axles are passenger side pumpkin. my dad had a 72. ill take some pick if you want

my brother has a '78 Bronco Dana 44 sitting in his garage that he might be willing to sell.....if you want Scott i can find out a price for you.....

he even has a matching 9" that came out of the same Bronco....both with 3.73 gears in them...

 

There was never a wide-trac Wagoneer or Waggy, but there was a wide & narrow-trac Cherokee (not the XJ, but the true Full-Size 2 door one before the XJ's). Also the 1/2 ton J10s had the wide-trac front axle too. Between the wide-trac and narrow-trac there is about a 5" difference in total WMS to WMS.

 

When we refer to a waggy here that is the Fullsize before the XJ. since the XJ never came with a 44 there is no need to say grand waggy 44, since the only waggy with a 44 was the grand waggy. so the waggy did come with a widetrac and narrow trac 44.

 

So which one is the 72-79 Wagoneer? That's the narrow-trac one right? My waggy D44 is about the same length wms to wms as my chevy housing is without anything past the inner C's...

 

Price? Maybe shipping to 17322? I might be interested...
