Sticking clutch
Sticking clutch
When I drive my 98 truck (It's actually a Mazda b2500) around city driving pushing the clutch in a lot and often, after a while when I let up the clutch pedal
the clutch doesn't engage, then a sec or so later it pops and engages, chirping the tires or stalling.
Just looking for direction ...
thanks

Welcome to the forum
Assuming the clutch pedal is coming up all the way, right?
Its not sticking down and "popping up" later
Well there are only two things it can be, Master or in the clutch/bellhousing
So I would change the Master for now and see if things improve, thats the master, reservoir, and hose to bellhousing, the whole unit
If it doesn't fix it then you will need to drop transmission and change the slave and pressure plate

Willing to bet the slave is on its way out. Mine did the same and the last time i pushed it in, the slave compressed into a pile of melted plastic.
The throw out bearing had gone bad and got so hot it ruined the slave.
