You can get gears just about anywhere. And being the questions you asked I wouldn't attempt them yourself. Gears are a touchy item and you can waste a lot of money if you don't know what your doing.

Spider gears can be done without much work depending on if you have a limited slip differential or an open. If its open you need to pop the diff cover off, slid the center pin out that retains the spider gears and replace them with new ones. Chances are though of the spiders are bad the side gears will be too so check them while youre in there. If you have a limited slip the process is a bit more involved but still pretty easy depending on your skill set.

An open diff looks like this

The limited slip looks like this

Not the large wavy spring in the limited slip carrier. The side gears are different and retain clutch packs behind them.

I have limited slip. Do the axles have to be pulled to replace the spider gears?

To do the spiders no, to do the side gears yes. Both can be done with the the diff carrier still in the truck BTW.

They had some wear and a few chips on the outer edge (peaks).
