31spline axles (equals stronger than ragner)
disc brakes
most likely has limited slip in it.

performance on the street yes.
You will not spin the tires so much on the pavement,
and maybe stop faster with rear discs
the limited slip is basically garbage offroad, but the 31spline axle is lots stronger (but chances are you're never near the limits on the ranger axle anyways).
ranger axles have drums in the back, but expos have discs. little better and easier to service.
