I have one of those t cases that only shift to 2whl- 4whl hi -4whl lo. I want to tow this behind my mtr home, can I just pull out the rear driveshaft and just use 4 whl hi range to at least move it around on a limited basis?

Usually yes, if you leave it in 2WD and drop rear drive shaft, you can flat tow it
And yes in 4high it should drive around without rear drive line.

But there is a NEUTRAL in the transfer case, just not a setting in the 4x4 control module
You can drop the shift motor, 4 bolts, and shift it to neutral, then use visegrips to hold it in Neutral

Neutral is directly opposite of 2WD, not marked but there none the less

BE CAREFUL, if you move shift rod to Neutral, truck WILL ROLL AWAY, so BLOCK THE TIRES FIRST

You could make an electrical neutral switch, Ford used to sell them as an add-on for RVers
