Hello again, the old man here. Finally got around ta changing the transmission pan to the 4x4 one and the filter. Anyway dumped 4 qts in it, started it , run it through all the gears, drove down the block and back, dropped the fluid again, 4 more in. Let it idle for another 15 minutes, checked the level, it’s just above the cross checks, is that ok?
It wasn’t that dirty, the magnet was black, the pan was clean. It’s got 106,000 on the 2005.
