Welcome to the forum Gavin
No, different bolt pattern
You can swap bell housings but requires some rebuilding since rear of bell housing is part of the Main pump inside the automatic trans
If you are unfamiliar with this then I would not attempt it
May be worth a call to a transmission shop to ask how much they would charge to do it, but their problem would be "warranty", if there was a problem after you put transmission in you could think they did something wrong, so they probably won't do it
2.3l and 2.5l Lima engines have unique bolt pattern, you can use the 4R44E from a 1995 to 2000 2.3l or 2.5l Ranger or Mazda B-2300/2500 2wd
In 2001/2 Ford changed to the 2.3l Duratec engine, which won't fit your 2.5l either
Short 5min video here on lining up front pump and seal: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-L71-udS_g
You can see whats behind the bell housing
