gears grinding :(

okay so the problem is that when its in neutral its fine. when i put the clutch in and go to put it in gear it grinds, i will stop putting it in gear but have the clutch still in and it still grinds until i release the clutch. ??

im guessing but could your clutch be shot?

slave cyl must not be completely disengaging the clutch.

What year truck? Slave cylinder is a pretty common problem.

I have the same problem..Everything is fine in neutral, and going into first is even fine. It's when going from first, to second, it grinds terribly, it also does it trying to put it into reverse...Expensive repair ;s?

i had a problem shifting my truck into gears, mainly 1st and 2nd.
