Vibration in floor
Vibration in floor
I just bought a 2001 with auto and 4.0. I feel vibration in the floor off and on At speeds from 25mph up to even 70mph. I am trying to nail down if it is the road or not. It is not in the steering wheel and the tires are in balance. What would make the vibration in the floorboard area?
Any ideas are appreciated.

As chees-man said and also check to see that the bolts are not coming loose on the UV joints themselves.
You never know who's been under there and if they forgot to tighten them and/or used the wrong hardware.

Well I took it to the local dealer today and they say left axle bent! How that could happen I had no idea on a 2WD that probably has never been off road. Any thoughts on this being true? Has anyone else had a 2WD axle bend?
Thanks

Well I put a new axle shaft in. It is better but I swear I saw nothing wrong with the old one. There is still some steering wheel wobble but the basic vibration in the floor has been reduced.
