Will a 4.0 tranny bolt to a 3.0?

I have a 2wd 5 speed manual transmission from a '97 with a 4.0 and I need to know if it will work in my '96 with a 3.0 and a 5 speed manual. I'll need an adapter plate I'm sure, but is their something I'm overlooking?

Its a different bolt patttern and those two motors have nothing in common. I doubt youll find an adapter but if you do then you have to shim the flywheel and crazy stuff since the clutch is hydraulic and non adjustable. It would probably be easier/cheaper to sell the one you have and pick up a good used one from a wrecker i got mine for my swap for $500 with a 2 year warranty from LKQ it only had 49k miles on it.
