wiring help after 1998 ranger auto to manual swap

wiring help after 1998 ranger auto to manual swap

Hi everyone . I just did a tranny swap from auto to manual on my 1998 ranger and i cant find the wires i need to get by the neutral safety switch. i have no red with a light blue strip wire on the tranny connector... can anyone plese help me?

Connect the Pink wire to the Tan wire with a red stripe.

You can find those two wires at the old connector to the DTRS (neutral safety switch that WAS on the transmission shifter shaft).

The best repair is to get a harness from a manual shift truck and replace that section and add the clutch pedal switch.

great that worked:) thank you so much.......will my ECU be ok? or will i have any issues with using the auto one?

You'll have a constant CEL with the auto ECU but It'll work just fine.
