What you will need:
13mm socket
3/8" ratchet
3/8" extension (optional)
Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) (check your owners manual for amount)
A hose or a turkey baster or a squeeze bottle
SAFETY GLASSES
This is a T-Case, its job is to transfer some of the power headed to the rear wheels to the front wheels on an all-wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle. Your truck has one (1):

STEP 1, getting to the drain plug:
The drain plug is hidden behind that Brown metal thing. It is called a dampener. What it does is a bit of a mystery. Older rangers dont have them and the newer ones don't have them either, but for some reason they put them on for a couple years in between. What I think it does, is when you hit the gas it prevents the whole case from spinning, hence dampening the rotation.
Anyways the drain plug is behind it, so it needs to come off. It is a 13mm socket. I took them off with a ratchet and then realized I should have used my impact wrench. Once removed the drain plug will be right there for you.

STEP 2, draining the case:
This is much like an oil change from here on out. Open the fill plug (red) and then open the drain plug and allow the fluid to drain out.

STEP 3, filling the case with fluid:
After all of the fluid has drained, replace the drain plug. Now it is time to refill the case. This is a bit tricky since the fill plug is so high. My first thought was to use a turkey baster. The problem was the only one I could find at Wal-Mart would fulfill my needs. I didnt feel like paying $7 for one that held 3/4 ounce. I ended up using a rubber hose and making a siphon. It took 45 minutes to transfer the 1.2L into my T-case. Slow but effective. You will fill it up until the level of the fluid is at the bottom of the fill plug. Basically once it starts to pour out it is full.

Other methods of filling recommend in original thread:
STEP 4, finishing up:
Replace the fill cap and put the dampener back on and you are ready to go!

Just an update to the transfer pump link, here is the new one. The one above is a drip irrigation kit. It worked awesome when I did mine a few weeks ago, really simple and quick way of filling the transfer case.
