George...I think that idea would work for a lighter color truck. In my eyes...thats just too dark...and not unique enough for me. lol.

Personally I would clear it after he removed that tape. Give it a proper seal, but he knows that lol.

That looks really good Shane, I didn't realize how much flake it had.

Thanks guys!!! I pulled the masking off two of the letters to test it out...mask job is 'okay'. These may be for sale if I'm not satisfied with it. Then I've got plenty of paint left over as well. These new emblems blow the snot out of the one on my tailgate that was rattlecan colormatch DWB duplicolor. This stuff I'm using now is real automotive custom mixed enamel using a disposable sprayer.

Now...someone give me ideas for this Grabber Orange paint I've got....

Yep. I still dont know if I'll use a rattle can automotive clear, or do the real spray job like I did with the color, but, i'll pull the masking probably today, then clear it this afternoon....and a possible install tonight!

Yeah...I think I forgot to mix the pot before the second coat. lol....all the flake went down then sprayed out really flakey. I actually kind of like it.
