2001 Bed

I am wondering if i can put a fleet side bed of my truck. It has a step side on it right now but i was wondering if i could change them out. If so what all would i need to change. I know some ppl will wonder why i want to do this, but i just think that fleet side trucks have a little better look to them, and i need the bed space.

The only thing that i could think of that i might have to change is the filler neck on the fuel tank. I didnt know if i would have to extend it or if the old one off my steppie would work.

i could be wrong, but i remember reading something about the fuel filler not working properly since one is too short.

I would think the flareside filler neck would be shorter, where the gas door located in relation edge of the cab is several inches. You'll have to get the fleetside filler neck.

Yes and Yes to all.
I did the Styleside to Flareside and all I needed was a new filler neck.

If you have an Ext Cab then I tend to agree that the Styleside bed looks a little better but a Std Cab and a Steppie Bed, NICE !

I have an 03, w/30K on it from an EDGE, bright red, $400/BRO.

Since it came off an EDGE it has flare mounting holes along the wheel openings.
If has the filler tube but no tailgate or taillights.

Oh ya, it is in MA.

Don't forget, bumper sizes are different between the fleet side and flare sides.
