Altezza Tail Light

have an 03 ranger xlt and I just got a pair of ALTEZZA TAIL LIGHTS. but the oem lights had one reverse bulb and one brake/turn/parking light. the new one has a place to plug these in but also has a third socket which is red also.

is this supposed to be wired as a brake, parking or turn light? any ideas?

you wont need the 3rd hole
those new lights you got are for older ranger with the 3 light set up

just get a bulb/socket and splice it into your brake/turn signal light.

muchas gracias

well I am thinking about just leaving it as a two bulb setup, but wondering if I splice the third bulb in as an extra brake lite if that would be safer ie brighter brake lights. the third bulb does have only one filiment bulb and the socket has two wires only.

any thoughts on making it an extra brake light?

done

well I put in the tailights and left the third hole empty. pretty easy install, only hang up was the screw holes next to the tailgate were too short and couldn't tighten the screw, so I drilled out the two holes per taillight and works great. took only 45 min including the corona! (gotta stay hydrated) wish I knew how to use that insert image feature
