Bed rail covers

I lost one of my bed rail caps going down the interstate about a month ago and I need new ones. I don't want to Linex it or anything like that. What do some of you guys have on yours?

I have the Bushwacker Diamond Back ones....They apply with 3M tape. Little suggestion...I've had those little rings that mount in the stake hole. And if you order the rails with the stake holes...the stake hole are TOO wide...left to right. I ended up getting the ones with out the holes, and used my Dremel reciprocating saw to cut the holes, and she's georgous. They also have tailgate caps, along with all smooth and ridges.

no probs...on your truck being so stinking clean...and black....If I were you, I'd get the smooth ones, and even consider getting them painted. They are paintable.

No i'd keep them unpainted, i beat on my rail caps way to much to have them painted. I like the diamondback ones, but i'll see what other people have.

I've got an under the rail bedliner, but I wanted to buy bushwaker caps, but my question is what should I do about the tailgate cap? it came with a tailgate protector, but for some reason when its hot it expands in 2 places... could I just stick the bushwaker one on top???

I just got some DeeZee Diamond plate ones. They are great looking and they came clearcoated so they won't require polishing. They look like wvcat's except mine make the corner in the back. You can also get them in black.

Mine had that as well so I just trimmed that part off and used the new tailgate cap for all the caps would match height and color..

I have the EGR caps from jcw.com and should have gotten those styled ones, though the egr protect more they are rather plain.. also mine are starting to crack around the bedrails I installed after 3+ years of abuse..

I also would think the metal ones would wear away the paint and rust

alrighty.....take off your tailgate liner thing......cut off the tailgate cap off the liner deal. Then install the liner, and finally install your new tailgate cap so everything matches.

The only thing I don't like about the bushwacker ones, is that is covered up my tailgate pinstripe. lol.

sorry. havn't notice this thread pop up.

I'd suggest taking off the tailgate bedline thingy....taking a piece of flat bar.....take a nice sharp box cuter and making a scribe line. Maybe clamp on the piece of flat bar and take a router to it...or even one of those drywall dremel things that cut sideways. I don't know the name. Use the flat bar as a guide to where you want to cut.

That's what i'd do.

I cut my bedliner with a good box cutter, let it sit in the sun for a few hours, it's like butter.

And just for the record, here are my diamond plate ones...

is there much of a rise over the stock bed side hight with the ones that fx4wannabe01 posted? could you mount a bed cap on top of them?
