Icon5 door unlock problem , any ideas

ok so this is the first issue , i have had with my ranger

so when i go to unlock my door i cant turn the key to the left to unlock it "sometimes"
i have to treat it like a old house door and rock it left to right, left to right, left to right
...then if that works it will let me turn the key right .then left too unlock ...and it took me two mins to unlock one time
......this problem is on both sides

I had this problem on my 96, get some wd40 or silicone spray, use the straw to get it in the actual lock, and spray away. re-insert the key move around, repeat if necessary.

Some times you need to use lubes when inserting your key in old locks. Its not like tight well made new locks.

Hmm, but your truck is pretty new, maybe you need to stick your key in more often.

I wonder at what point I will go to far?

Yep, over time things stick as the lube wears out, nothing a shot of silicone spray can't fix. While you're doing the drivers side, do the passenger side lock and all door hinges too. Make it a lube day.

Good catch Rolldogg. There are two key holes that need to be lubed and loosened up.
