Converting a '94 to '00 front clip?

Hey everyone, my buddy has a '94 single cab ranger that he's wanting to convert to a 98-00 front end. I did my mazda to ranger conversion, but I'm not sure about that year change. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Needs a new core support. The newer grills and lights will not bolt up.

yah new "header panel"(I think?) and it's possible. Ibelieve also new fenders would be needed. To be honest he might as well just do an 01 and grab a powerdome hood while he's at it. Collect up all the parts slowly then do the upgrade.

Or actually, he's looking to convert to the 01-03 front end. But even still for that he would need the following...

* Core support
* Header Panel
* Hood
* Head lights
* Corner lights
* Fenders
* Grill & shell

That should be everything though, correct?

Does the core support have to be cut out and welded in or what?

What about the wiring for the headlights and corners? Only two plugs/bulbs for a '94 and there's three for the newer models.

I think the core support is spot welded in. I am sure you'll either have to rebolt it, or reweld it.

It has some where around 30 or so spot welds holding it on.
After you remove all the spot welds, you need to clean up them for burning in the new panel. Add coat of primer/paint. Finally you will be able to bolt the new parts on.

Cost is a lot higher then the 98+ to 01-03 conversion.

This is a body guy kinda mod. Not for the beginner.

The turn signal in the headlight will have to be cut off then spliced into the factory harnes. I had to do it on my truck and it was nothing.

We're surrounded by Toyota techs with a body guy out back, I'm sure we can come up with something if the plans go through.

The 93-97 has two bulbs... Headlight and park/turn... The 98+ have the same thing, just one extra plug tied into the park light wire. Would be real easy to re-wire with a simple test light.
