i think some one stole my spare keys at work.and how much does it cost to change the door lock?? it a 2001 ford ranger edge

 

Problem is its the same key as your ignition. If you just want to re-key the lock cylinders, you could take them out and have a locksmith re-key them, but then you'll have two keys, one for the doors and one for the ignition. Otherwise, you'll have to replace the ignition cylinder as well.

You'd need to call a local locksmith and see what they would charge if you brought the cylinders in to re-key and cut a new key for them. If you want to replace the door and Ign cylinder call up Ford and see what they want for a new ignition cylinder. Then call the service dept and see what the labor is to replace the ign cylinder and reprogram and re-key the doors to match.

 

i can tell you, its $65 just for a set of keys to be made.. I cant imagine what itll cost to dive into and replace all of that. For them to purchase and replce just my turn signal stuff, was a bit over 250 including the assembly...
