I have a 2000 XLT 4x2 and would like to swap to the 01-03 Edge front end. I was wondering what parts I would need other than the grille, headlights, turn signals, bumper, and valance. It's my daily driver and I'm new to swapping, so I want to know what I'm getting into before I tear this thing apart thinking I have all the right parts and I don't.
You also need the header panel (It's what the grille and headlights attach to) and although your current hood will work, the 01-03 Edge hood would look better.
Awesome, thank you. Just out of curiosity, what is different about the Edge hood? I've never paid close attention.
The front hangs down a little lower to cover the grille which doesn't have an upper painted bar like the non-Edge grille does. If you run your stock hood with an Edge grille, there will be a noticeable gap between the grille and the front edge of the hood. The 01-03 Edge hood is raised a little higher up, which is why the 01-03 Edge hood has the name "Powerdome". It's also made of fiberglass, so it's a little heavier.
