VERY NICE! What kind of paint did you use? Did you have to do any before painting prep?

I used krylon fusion satin black paint. The only prep work I did was wash it off really good with dish detergent and hot water then let it dry in the sun. Then I just masked off the grille surround instead of trying to separate them and started painting. Did 5 medium coats and no chipping so far.

This may sound stupid but how did you get that front part off? I unscrewed those 6 top ones and I see some clamps under it but not really sure how to take it off
