Grille clips removal

hi im replacing the factory horn on my 2001 edge I ve search this forum on removing the grille. everbody says to remove the clips. the question I have is, am I supposed to pry the clips up, down or push back on them to remove them

got it

ok never mind i got it. slide screwdriver tip between grill and clip, while use a twisting motion on the screwdriver gently pull the grille out and it will let go

yea....when i do mine, I take the headlamps out. Then work the outside 4(2 per side) using a small flat head screw driver. The center ones, i just pull. The metal clips might come off the grille shell....no biggie. So use that screw driver to pop them off, and push them back on the grille shell.

glad you got her figured out.
